BEST BUDGET SMARTPHONE OF 2013

Panasonic P11
The P11 is Panasonic's foray into low cost smartphones, and has bought to the table a young design and some impressive specs. At the asking price of 14,000 you get a 5 inch IPS display at 720x1280 pixels, with a 1.2 Ghz Mediatek Quad Core CPU, with a capable 8MP rear camera and a 2Mp front camera, perfect for selfies. The storage can be expanded to 32 GB. The P11 comes in yellow, white and black.

Nokia Lumia 625
Do you like Windows OS or the colorful awesomeness and solid build of a Nokia, but the 520 is too underpowered for you? For just a few hundred bucks over Rs. 15,000 you can get yourself the Lumia 625. Which comes with a 4.7 inch touchscreen, 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, a 5MP rear camera and expandable memory upto 64 GB. All of that in beautiful color.

Nokia Lumia 520
The finish giant is determined to capture the sub 10,000 market with a fantastic deal in the Lumia 520. The smartphone just costs an amazing Rs 8,500, and comes with a 4 inch IPS screen powered by a 1Ghz processor, 5 MP camera, with expandable storage upto 64GB. Not only that it comes in some sweet colors, and at this price, Windows 8 phone is quite an awesome OS. These specs are on par with the Rs. 29K Iphone 4. 


 Xolo Play T-1000
The T1000 is the perfect budget gaming smartphone, packing some serious heat in the form of a 12-core graphics processor, as well as a Quad Core 1.5 Ghz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, along with another battery saver core at  fantastic price of  Rs. 13,000. While the performance may not reach the level of the advanced Snapdragon's, it does make the games look real good. It's got a 4.7 inch one glass solution display, and a 8 Megapixel rear camera with Full HD 1080p recording.


 Micromax Canvas Magnus
For the asking price of about Rs. 14,000 (watch out for sales), the Micromax Canvas is the most feature packed of the list. The best part is the 12 Megapixel camera, 5 inch display and 4 GB internal memory expandable to 32 GB a 1.5 Ghz processor and 1 GB of RAM to round it off. The budget smartphone looks on par in quality as the higher end Samsung phones.


Gionee Dream D1
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is determined to invade India with it's impressive smartphones. The Dream D1 is powered by a 1.5 Ghz Quad Core CPU, dual sim with an 8 Megapixel rear camera. The Dream screen is a manageable 4.65 inches.
